Downtown Greensboro shows off arts

Greensboro rolls out the red carpet from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday for First Friday.

The monthly event features participating galleries, alternative art venues and merchants who offer after-hours performances, demonstrations and other activities.

Uptown Artworks, at 1007 Arnold St. near downtown Greensboro, will also hold an open house of its gallery and studios from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Friday.
